I visit Salzburg, Austria, the home of Mozart and all things magical. The city is like out of a fairy tale. The old-town (Altstadt) is full of wonderful old streets, shops, the coolest McDonald’s sign you have ever seen, passageways, church’s, palaces, great beer, and much more.

I am just now leaving Salzburg, Austria and heading on a high-speed train to Munich (Munchen), Germany.  My impression of Salzburg was nothing if not amazing.  It is a small city with a well-centered altstadt (old part of the city) that makes you feel like you are in some sort of Harry Potter or similarly magical film.  The streets are filled with ‘hidden’ alleyways that link to other streets and the old-world charm of cobblestones, wrought iron, and horse carriages brings the city to life.

Familiarity is not a justifiable reason for going to a coffeehouse.  You go for good coffee and ambiance.  Occasionally, good food enters into the mix.  Most coffeehouses in Vienna are modern and lacking in character, hence the popularity of Starbucks, especially among the young and university crowd.
